| Overwhelming response to Dussehra Festival an eye opener | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Sept 30- The overwhelming support shown by the Kashmiri Society on the eve of celebrations of Dussehra Festival at TRC Ground, Srinagar might have surprised lot of people who don’t want to accept that in Kashmir the significance of “love and brotherhood for one another” still exists in the hearts of a common people.
The celebrations of Dushera after over two decades with massive participation of the Kashmiri Society dominated by Muslim community will surely have opened eyes to most of the people who try to earn by dividing Kashmir on country and religious politics. It is really appreciable that on preceding Monday, Idd Nimaz was offered on the same ground and on next Monday Dushera celebrations were also organized on the same ground. The common thing on both the occasions was that more than 60% participants were same.
This is open message to the India, Pakistan and world community that we the people of Kashmir still believe in co-existence in all respects. The Kashmiri Society have extended their thanks to All India Kashmiri Samaj, New Delhi; J&K Coalition of Civil Societies, Srinagar; Sharda Sanjeevni Kendra, Bohri, Jammu; Sanatam Dharam Sabha, Handwara; JK Peoples Welfare Foundation, Srinagar, Kashmiri Pandit Amity Council, Srinagar and others for making the event successful.
