9/30/2009 10:27:56 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 30- To facilitate the general public in redressing their grievances and solving the problems, the BJP today decided to make available the services of party MLAs at party headquarters on all working days between 10 a.m. and 1.30 p.m.
While Ashok Khajuria will be available on Monday, Jugal Kishore Sharma, Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta, Ch. Sukhnandan and Bharat Bhushan will be attending the public on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday respectively. Shyam Choudhary and Prof. Gharu Ram will be available on alternate Saturdays.
This decision was taken in a meeting of BJP legislature party jointly chaired by legislature party leader Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta and State President Ashok Khajuria. A number of issues were discussed in the meeting. The meeting resolved to support the genuine demands of all the agitating employees of SRTC and Home Guards besides raising the issue of ousted employees of various departments at all the platforms. The meeting expressed its concern over delay in granting compensation to the bereaved dependents of Akshay Gupta, a Civil Engineer, who was working with Lamayer International, a German concern and consultant of Power Development Department who lost his life while performing official duty at Baglihar due to the carelessness of other employees.
The MLAs in the meeting alleged that Border Area Development Program (BADP) plan has not been approved for even such villages which are situated at Zero Line on International Border like Panjore, Rajpura Bhadrore, Pouni Chack in Marh block and Khandwal in Satwari block. They demanded inclusion of these villages in BADP plan without any further delay.
