9/30/2009 10:40:38 PM

Early Times Report
Akhnoor Sept 30
Within the tall claims of equity and justice the state government is concentrating on its favourite areas only and the distribution of funds is in no way equal, asserted Dr Darakhshan Andrabi president Socialistic Democratic Party (SDP).
Addressing a party worker convention in Akhnoor here today Dr Andrabi said the recent allotment of the additional funds for different districts of the state speaks the reality. Earlier Dr Andrabi visited nine different hamlets in the area and also addressed a public gathering at Chauki Chura village. She herself inspected the Rasiote village where people are without water for fifteen days and despite many demonstrations no heed was given by the concerned. She expressed her deep shock on the poor drinking water and electricity facilities of the area. She said that this area comes under Jammu district and is represented by the ruling class for the last so many years and still the backwardness of these villages is only a banging slap on the faces of those who claim to represent them.
Dr Andrabi said that the foodgrains supply of the CAPD stores is only there on the departmental papers while as the stores are either empty or filled with the rotten rice or flour.
Later Dr Darakhshan Andrabi paid visit to the agitating Road Transport Corporation employees and expressed her solidarity with them. Dr Andrabi said that the management of the past alongwith the political leadership that controlled and guided the corporation is responsible for the losses and all of them should be punished.
