Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 1- While the controversy over establishment of Central University has hardly died down in Jammu region, the Government has created yet another controversy over setting up of Unani College in the state. With the Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad’s announcement to set up Unani College at Srinagar, grave resentment has started brewing up in Jammu region. To protest over the Central Government’s proposed decision to set up Unani College at Srinagar and ignoring Jammu region once again, the Jammu Joint Students’ Federation (JJSF) held a strong protest demonstration in Canal Road in front of SPMR College of Commerce here today. The protestors led by Partap Singh Jamwal JJSF State Vice President burnt the effigy of Union Health Minister. JJSF leaders said that when there could be two Central Universities in Jammu and Kashmir why not the two Unani Colleges and warned the government to desist from discriminating with Jammuties any more. Sahil Chowdhary, President, GGM Science College, Sumit Gupta, City President, JJSF, Abhay Sharma, State Coordinator, Anil Sharma, Tehsil President, Akhnoor, Jyoti Chowdhary, Vikram Partap Singh, Digvijay Singh, Vishal Bhat, Deepak Singh, Ajay Sharma were among those who took part in the protest.
