| Cabinet nod to apex panel plan on KPs | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 1: The state cabinet which met in Srinagar this evening is reported to have approved almost all the recommendation of Prime Minister’s working group and apex committee about KPs return to the valley. However, the decision on jab package is reported to have been deferred. The state cabinet, headed by chief minister, Omar Abdullah had detailed discussion on the recommendations of prime ministers working group and the apex committee, which was constituted by the government headed by minister of relief and revenue, Raman Bhalla, having nearly about 30 groups of Kashmiri migrants. The prime minister working group headed by Hamid Ansari, now vice-president of India had made key recommendations which included confidence building measures, safe return to valley, Rs 7.5 lakh for per family for construction of house has been approved. The apex committee recommendations almost all has been approved including safe return of KP’s to valley, the building of colonies, etc. But the most important, 6000 job package, through approved, has been deffered. As some of the minister in cabinet raised some apprehensions on giving job package to displaced community at this juncture. Already, there are around 5 lakh unemployed youth in J&K state, so giving 6000 jobs to KP’s at this time is not proper, so it has been deffered.
