| SRCO organizes awareness camp for women | | Nusrat to fight for women’s rights, privileges | | Early Times Report
Kishtwar Oct 02- Social Reforms and Charitable Organization (SRCO) Kishtwar organized an awareness camp against the violence on woman in which over 150 prominent women of the area took part.
Chairman SRCO Sanjeev Parihar said the objective of organizing this camp was to create awareness about the increasing social crime against the women.
On this occasion a committee was constituted with Nusrat Farooq Baghwan as its president to fight against the increasing social crime with women.
Soon after her election as President of the newly formed committee, Nusrat assured to launch a crusade against social evils and fight for the rights and privileges of the women folk. She said the committee would launch a vigorous campaign against menace of dowry, sexual harassment against female in government and private offices, child marriage besides seeking establishment of ‘Narinikaten hostel in Kishtwar for the widows. She urged upon the woman community of Kishtwar to come forward and strengthen the hands of her organization so as to curb the increasing violence against the woman. She said that the menace of dowry has ruined the life of several women and stressed the need for simple marriages.
