Computer Sciences Deptt in GCW Parade organises Freshers party

JAMMU, Oct 2: To welcome the freshers in the campus Department of Computer Sciences in GCW Parade organized a colorful freshers party on the college campus, here yesterday. The party was organized by second and third year students of GCW Parade and the theme of the party was “ RETRO.
On the occasion, students presented various cultural items and enthralled the audience, who comprised, the college Principal Prof Savitri Sharma the chiefguest on the occasion and , Parveen Singh (Head of the computer Sciences Department), other teachers, staff members and students. The party was hosted by the”.
The freshers were summoned on the dice and asked to get them introduced with their seniors. Beside narrating their Curriculum Vitae (CV), the freshers also performed items of their choice ranging from couplets to mimicry.
Folk dances, group dances, songs, skits and some other entertaining items were main highlights of the freshers party.
Sarabhjeet Kour, Sugandha Sharma and Nikita Gupta were declared as the Ms. Fresher, Ms. Personality and Ms.Well Dressed. While Ms. Alisha Paul bagged the titles of Ms. Attitude and Ms. Perfect Answer and Saniya Gupta , Rupali Jamwal , Madhu were adjudged as Ms.Perfect walk , Ms. Beautiful Smile and Ms. Congeniality in the party respectively.
The freshers were summoned on the dice and asked to give their formal introduction to the audience.
Later, Principal Savitri Sharma presented mementos to theparticipants and opined that such freshers parties help the students to familiarize with each other in a friendly way.
HoD Parveen Singh presented vote of thanks and asked the students to also concentrate on extra-curricular activities besides academics for overall development of their personality. The programme was compared by Surabhi Koul and Rachna.
