| Udhampur DMU derails | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 2 : Hundreds of passengers had a narrow escape today when a Diesel Multiple Unit (DMU) train, on its way back to Jammu from Udhampur, derailed, official sources here said.
passengers travelling in the DMU had a close shave when the train coming back to Jammu from Udhampur derailed in between Bajalta and Jammu stations at around 0930 hrs,'' they said.On receiving information about the accident, a police party, Railway officials and the local people immediately rushed to the spot.
''It took around two hours to restore the traffic. The train derailed some 9 km from here at Bajalta junction but everything was under control and no incident of any injury or casualty was reported,'' Ashok Sharma, Divisional Traffic Manager (DTM) Railways told
