| BJP stages protest against Chinese attempt to project J&K a disputed territory | | | Early Times Report Jammu Oct 3 Bhartiya Janta party (BJP) and BJYM activists held protest demonstration against the Chinese government for treating Jammu and Kashmir state as disputed territory and granting visa on separate sheets instead of stamping on the Indian passport. Protestors led by District President Rajesh Gupta after staging a protest against Chinese authorities also burnt the effigy of China to register their protest. Amidst slogans like Bharat sarkar hosh mein aao, China sarkar hai hai and stop interfering, Rajesh Gupta, criticized the Government of China and its Embassy in New Delhi for adopting different yardsticks for grant of visa to the people of Jammu and Kashmir. He said Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India and every one living in this state is an Indian Citizen. The people of Jammu and Kashmir too use the same passport as is issued to other Indians. He said the decision of the Chinese government to issue visa to the people of J&K on a separate sheet and not on Republic of India passport is a direct attack on the sovereignty of India and it is the Congress-led UPA government at the centre which is responsible for it. ‘Had the Government of India taken the last month’s intrusion by Chinese army men into Ladakh seriously, this new development would have not taken place, he said. Indian government’s soft approach towards China has encouraged this neighbouring country to take anti-India decisions, he alleged. Rajesh Gupta said that China was never sincere in friendship with India and reminded that it was the same China which gave slogan of --Hindi Chini bhai bhai in 1962 and back stabbed by imposing war on us. He appealed the people of the country not to buy and use the items like mobile sets, toys and other electronic gadgets imported from China. Ramesh Arora, Shiv Kumar Gupta, Jaideep Sharma, Kuldeep Magotra, Baldev Singh Beloria, N.D. Rajwal, Munish Sharma, Sanjay Baru, Ashwani Sharma, Vijay Choudhary, Pardeep Sharma, Vikram Singh Randhawa, Munish Khajuria, and Bal Khajuria, were prominent among those who took part in this protest demonstration.
