| RUN FOR FUN HELD ATAIR FORCE STATION UDHAMPUR | | | Udhampur, 01
On theoccasion of the 74thAnniversary of Indian Air Force, a cross-country event “RUN FOR FUN” was organized at Air Force Station Udhampur. AirOfficer Commanding Jammu and Kashmir, Air Vice Marshal Anil Chopra VM VSM, the chief guest, flagged off the run. In the inaugural address Station Commander, Air Force Station Udhampur, Group Captain G Amar Babu VM expressed the importance of such events for developing togetherness, camaraderie, team spirit and physical fitness. The ladies and children of Air Force personnel also participated in this open event with great enthusiasm and joy. A total of 600 personnel, including serving personnel, ladies and children participated in the event. All participants showed great enthusiasm and ran with full zest and zeal. People from all walks of life turned up in large numbers to encourage the participants. Children as young as five years had completed the route which was 2.7 Kms long. Later Mrs Suman Chopra gave away the prizes to the winners in different categories.
