| FPSJ activists sat on 24 hr hunger strike | | | Early Times Report Kalakote, Oct 3: A 24 hour hunger strike under the aegis of foundation for peace and social justice (FPSJ) commenced at Kalakote in Rajouri district here today. President of the foundation and former legislator Ashok Sharma while addressing the hunger strikers demanded immediate restoration of all the security pickets in Kalakote areas which have been removed recently to strengthen the security grid. He also demanded creation of a district in Rajouri Poonch area with adequate number of tehsil and niabats. Setting up of a degree college and SDM office at Kalakote, bringing Rajouri and Poonch districts on the air and railway map of the country. Other demands projected by Sharma include stopping political victimization of people, immediately sanctioning drought relief, doing away with the back door appointments, fair delimitation of panchayat wards, and formulating fair list of BPL families by including all the deserving families in the lists and regularization of the workers of PHE department working under community participated scheme. Prominent among them include MY Mugal, Rattan Paul Sharma, Ram Lal, Som Raj Khajuria, Amar Nath, Subash Bali, Vijay Kumar, Hand Raj, Nagesh Khajuria, Pritam Lal Subedar and Ali Mohd and others.
