| GGM Sc College organize plantation drive on Gandhi Jayanti | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 3: The morning and evening NSS unit of GGM science college organized two days workshop on the eve of Gandhi Jayanti to commemorate birth anniversaries of father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi and former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri under the supervision of NSS programme officer Dr RS Pathania, Dr. RK Sharma and Prof Vijay Kumar Chandan, Dr Sham Lal Gupta principal of the college on Ist October who inaugurated the workshop urged the NSS volunteers to imbibe the spirit of the teaching of Gandhiji in their real life.
On this occasion a plantation drive was conducted in the college premises in which more than 60 saplings of different medicinal plants were planted.
On 2nd prabhat pheri was organized. About 120 NSS volunteers took part in this rally and took the pledge to follow Gandhiji’s principle and ideology.
In the afternoon session a symposium was organized on the topic “Teaching of Gandhiji” in which 15 NSS volunteers participated. Senior NSS volunteers Ashutosh, Rohit, Arif, Sumit, Susasni, Nidhi and Sughand were present.
