| BJP seeks probe in ISM doctors’ selection | | | Early Times Report Kishtwar, Oct 3- Senior BJP leader Sunil Sharma has demanded high level probe in the district level selection of ISM doctors under National Health Rural Mission (NHRM). In a press statement, issued here today, Sharma alleged that the selection committee headed by Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, as its chairman, has literary sold all the six posts of ISM doctors under NHRM for the district, selection list of which was issued recently. “While the deserving and meritorious aspirants were ignored some blue-eyed candidates were selected after huge amount was paid to some members of the selection committee as illegal gratification”, he said. Everyone in the district knows the fact as how the selections were made at the cost of the deserving candidates he alleged adding that a probe in the matter would open a Pandora box about the working of district level officers in the far off Kishtwar district, which is already reeling under backwardness and poverty. Asserting that government was not serious about the unemployed and education youth of the state, the BJP leader said that aspirants from the particular community were completely ignored in the selection list. He said that such irregularities and illegalities in the selection were adding to the frustration of the youth of the state in general and rural areas in particular. Seeking justice for deserving and meritorious students Sharma demanded that interview process for government jobs should completely be banned and instead written examination conducted to decide the fate of meritorious students. He said that the selection authorities have made mockery of the system throughout the state, which need to be checked at the earliest.
