| JPVM fields two members for CCI elections | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 4: Jammu Paryatan Vikas Mandal, an apex body of 24 trade organizations related to tourism and pilgrimage has fielded its general secretary and president All Jammu Hotels Lodges Association Inderjeet Khajuria for the post of senior vice president in the elections to chamber of commerce and industry Jammu. Pawan Gupta senior leader of Hari Market traders association and general secretary Jammu Hotels Lodges Association has been fielded for the post of treasurer of CCI Jammu, the elections to which are being held on October 28. Ravi Mahajan chairman Kuldeep Wahi president of JPVM while addressing the media persons stated that tourism and pilgrimage happens to be an important part of business and trade activity in Jammu. Hence it was considered imperative that some representatives of tourism related trades become important office bearers of the CCI Jammu, to highlight problems being faced by the tourism industry in Jammu. As office bearers of CCI Jammu, they can help redress the problems beiong faced by the tourism related trades in Jammu, by taking up the same with the concerned authorities in the government. With important functionaries of tourism and pilgrimage related trade bodies as office bearers of CCI they can exert to promote tourism and pilgrimage in Jammu, Wahi said. Ravi Mahajan and Kuldeep Wahi lauded the role played by Inderjeet Khajuria and Pawan Gupta infighting many causes as discriminations against Jammu region in tourism promotion and other fields of business and trade. They added that they have to their credit carrying many movements to their successful culmination to get Jammu business and trade due promotion, particularly the promotion of tourism and pilgrimage trade industry. They have also worked to bring Jammu on the tourism map of the country. They also appealed to the electorates in the CCI Jammu elections to vote and solidy support Inderjeet Khajuria and Pawan Gupta, for the said posts.
