| No questions on Kashmir’s status: Chaman | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 4: Strongly advocating for making it clear to one and all that Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India the leader of the BJP legislature party, Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta has observed that internal weaknesses provided opportunity to powers hostile to interfere and cause problems for the country.
Addressing a meetings of the party activists at Bhagwati Nagar and other places in the city. He said that it is a strange situation that even after three wars and Shimla agreement, certain internal and external elements are still trying meddle in the affairs of Jammu and Kashmir. This is the result of confused policies at home and questioned that when legally and constitutionally Jammu and Kashmir is an irrevocable pat of India, why this was not being treated like other parts of the country and why a differential treatment for this state. He questioned the bonafides of the leaders of the National Conference, PDP and even those of the Congress who are still talking for resolution of Kashmir problem. The only problem was the sad and communal division of India and this chapter should be closed that whether it was OIC or anybody else, there would be no any more communal division of the country.
Regarding China, prof. Gupta said that despite slogans of “Panchseel”, China was never a friend of India and we should move in this regard very cautiously taking into account all the pros and cons, with regard to the religious separatism and cross border terrorism, he emphasized that menace should be tackled firmly and under laws of the land.
He also expressed disappointment over the functioning of the congress national conference coalition and said that the growing all round resentment and state of demonstrations as also the hartals even by the government employees and the suffering people, speak volumes about its failure on all fronts.
