| Tantray appeals CM to regularize service of SPO’s | | | Early Times Report
Poonch, Oct 4: National Conference leader and chairman J&K peace protection forum Shah Mohd Tantray has appealed the chief minister Omar Abdullah to regularize the SPO in J&K Police. In a letter to chief minister he said that the SPOs have always performed their duties in tough situations and as such they deserve to be regularized.
He applauded the chief minister for taking developmental steps with regard to regularization of contractual, adhoc and daily wager employees, enhancement of their salaries, providing jobs to land donors in PHE department and keeping open the Jawahar tunnel for 24 hours. He has also appealed the CM to personally intervene in the matter of low paid PHE employees and issue orders of their transfers in their own localities as the public is facing hardship. He further said that the monthly salary of lumberdars and chowkidars be enhance to the tune of Rs 3000/- per month.
