| Niaz talks tough to officers | | | Early Times Report Bhaderwah Oct 4- Taking serious note of violating the government directions, the former Minister and sitting MLA Mohammad Sharief Niaz has asked the District Administration to strictly adhere to the directions. Despite Chief Minister’s directions of taking up schemes for execution in consultation with elected representatives of the area, he alleged the administration was openly violating these directions. He even charged that some officers were inaugurating and announcing the schemes at their own level. While chairing an officers meeting at Bhaderwah , Niaz emphasized upon the officers to monitor the developmental activities vigorously and ensure its completion within a time frame. He said we are living in a democratic country and no one is above the public including Ministers, MLAs or officials whatsoever and added that all of us are public servants and we are paid for it. He asked the officials to treat themselves as public servants not like as a ruler. Niaz made a brief mention of the discussions and suggestions arrived at the all party meeting held the other day at Bhaderwah where the district administration was directed to rise to the occasion and redress the grievances of the people in a stipulated time frame besides ensuring accountability and transparency in the developmental activities being carried out under different sectors in the area.
