| Jammu scribes condole Gandotra’s demise | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 4- A condolence meeting of office bearers and members of All Jammu Newspapers Editors Association was held here today under the chairmanship of Ravinder Singh President AJNEA, to mourn the sad demise of former Deputy Director of Information, an intellectual, popular journalist and writer, J P Gandotra popularly known as ‘Pathik Sahib’. The gathering recalled unmatchable contributions of departed soul as a journalist and as a writer. Describing Gandotra one among the luminaries of journalist fraternity the speakers said that the void created by his death cannot be filled and his services will be remembered for times to come. Ravinder Singh in his condolence message said, “Pathik Sahib’s contributions will always be remembered by the whole fraternity as he had been a source of inspiration to the beginners”. It may be recalled that late Pathik was associated with TV and Radio for many years and besides being the author of several books including ‘History of Dogra Heritage.’ After his retirement he remained associated with several local English dailies. The AJNEA members after paying tributes to departed soul observed a two minute silence in respect of the late soul and prayed for eternal peace of departed soul and expressed sympathy with the bereaved family. Among others present in the condolence meeting were Adharsh Pal Gupta, Banarsi Dutt Sharma, Suresh Kumar, Satish Mahajan, Vinod Sharma, Subesh Mehra, A K Sawhney, Ravish Sharma, Sohial Qazmi, Rajesh Dutta, R K Kapoor, Kuldeep Gupta and others.
