| PCC Minority cell hails cabinet nod to PM’s package | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 4- Non inclusion of genuine representatives of Kashmiri Pandits in the Apex Committee, constituted by the government for crucial return of the community to their native place, has been viewed seriously by the Pradesh Congress Committee Minority Cell and Soan Kashmir Front. PCC Minority cell general secretary S L Pandita and president Soan Kashmir Front has said that the deserving KPS who sweated for the cause of KP migrants since 1990 have been ignored in Government’s Apex committee. Addressing media persons here today, Pandita said that this posture is very crucial and critical for the KP migrant community which has been and will be a cause of further devastation of this community. Rejecting all the KP members who have been selected for Apex committee, he alleged that these very people were against the return of the community to their homes and hearths. He, however, hailed the cabinet approval to the Prime Minister’s package for the KP migrants granting employment avenues to the youth of this community. Pandita said that KP migrant community from the very inception had been ready to return and get rehabilitated in the valley. However, he said, the package granted to the KPs is too meager when on an average each KP migrant family has suffered a loss of two lakhs per year and appealed the UPA Chairperson and party high command to personally deal with the problems of the exiled community.
