| NCP alleges violation of PMGSY guidelines | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 4- Alleging utter violation of set guidelines for execution of PMGSY in Udhampur district, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) has demanded a probe into the irregularities committed by the Rural Development Department, PWD and other implementing agencies.
Addressing media persons here today the Party general secretary Mohinder Singh Thakur also took to task the concerned MLA for misusing the discretionary powers for according priority to two different agencies for some roads in the district..
He sought Chief Minister’s intervention in inquiring into the serious irregularities committed by the concerned departments to make them accountable and ensuring effective implementation of the PMGSY..
He deplored the functioning of PMGSY implementation agency i.e. JKRRDA for changing road survey destination in Ramnagar Constituency and in this connection referred to the roads from Chowki to Birnu and Prey to Slan despite public protest and unnecessarily litigation.
He said despite stay granted by the Court the implementing agencies were issuing fresh tenders forcing the people to once again move to the Court to seek justice.
