| 62 SRTC workers court arrest | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 5- Sixty two workers of State Road Transport Corporation (SRTC) courted arrest in Jammu as a part of ‘Jail-Bharo Andolan’ here today.
The SRTC workers took out a large protest rally from SRTC Yard near Bikram Chowk and moved towards Ware House and blocked the road and disrupted movement of traffic for some time. At least 62 workers courted arrest as part of their movement for the cause.
Over 4500 hapless workers of the Corporation are on strike demanding release of their pending four months wages, besides a final decision regarding their fate in the Corporation.
They further said that government and concerned department should give one time assurance to employees that government will pay regular salary in favour of employees and benefit of 6th pay commission.
