Early Times Report
Srinagar, Oct 6
At least two Border Security Force (BSF) personnel were injured in a militant hand grenade attack near the historic Lal Chowk, the nervecentre of the summer capital.
Official sources said militants hurled a hand grenade towards a parked vehicle of 26 battalion BSF at Ghanta Ghar, Lal Chowk, when some personnel were busy shopping in the area.
Two BSF personnel were injured and the vehicle was damaged in the blast, they said.
This was the first such attack in the civil lines area in more than one year.
However, recently militants shot dead a CRPF jawan and injured another at Residency road
