| JKP Cops held with RS 25 lakh heroin | | |

Two constables of the Jammu and Kashmir Police were today arrested along with the contraband by the Punjab Police team on Jammu and Kashmir-Punjab border near Lakhanpur in Kathua district of the state, police sources here said.
‘The constable identified as Pushotam along with other whose identity is yet to be ascertained, was trapped by the Punjab Police party near Lakhanpur and during checking 25 grams of heroin was recovered from their possession,’’ police sources said.
Police however, have taken them into the custody and started investigations. Sources further said that one of the arrested constables was deployed as a security guard with the senior police officer of the district. |
