| BJP wants UPA to act on OIC issue | | | Early Times Report Jammu Oct 6 BJP State President Ashok Khajuria has condemned the sending of Special Representative to J&K state by Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC). He termed it as unwanted, undesirable, unauthorized, unprecedented and unethical interference in the internal affairs of Jammu and Kashmir. ‘J&K affair is not problem relating to Muslim community but it is internal matter to be decided bilaterally by Govt. of India and Pakistan, he said. Ashok Khajuria in a press statement stated that BJP also took note of allowing Mirwaiz Umar Farooq to attend the conference. He expressed surprise as to why the Central government remained silent over the issue and did not stop Mirwaiz. Khajuria said that it is well establish that America is interfering in the internal matters of other countries and alleged OIC is also working under its influence. ‘Recent refusal of not meeting with Dalai Lama by US President has further exposed that there is some conspiracy hatched by different countries including United States of America, he said. Ashok Khajuria said Union government as well as state government should take a serious note and BJP will not tolerate it any cost and no third party intervention is required. Khajuria further said that no one should undermine the power of India, a country which has every potential to meet out any challenge putforth by any outsider. Khajuria advised OIC to see the affairs of Pakistan, where Muslims are discriminating each other on the basis of their sub caste where human rights are violated in every sphere of the life. He asked why OIC is not taking serious interest in Afghanistan affairs where after 9/11 attacks and why OIC could not do any thing with respect to Iraq which is been ruined by America. ‘The so-called self-style interference on the name of religion will not be tolerated in J&K state’s affairs at any cost. BJP state unit has decided to take up matter with the central leadership also and will see to it that no government, state or central, is allowed such type of interference as the accession is complete and irrevocable.
