| Cabinet panel discuss ARC suggestions | | | Early Times Report Srinagar October 06 - Cabinet Sub-Committee constituted by the government to examine the report submitted by the second administrative reforms commission on ethics in governance met under the chairmanship of Minister for Rural Development, Parliamentary Affairs and Panchayati Raj, Mr. Ali Mohammad Sagar here today. The meeting was also attended by the Minister for Tourism and Culture, Mr. Nawang Rigzin Jora, Minister for Agriculture, Mr. Ghulam Hassan Mir, Minister for Irrigation and PHE, Mr. Taj Mohi-ud-Din, Principal Secretary Law, Mr. A. H. Kochak and Special Secretary Law, Mr. Tantray. The Committee discussed threadbare the recommendations made by the commission with a view to eliminate corruption in public life as well as in public services. The commission has recommended that for good governance the Lokayuktas should look into the complaints against ministers and public representatives as well. It had also recommended that the State Vigilance Organization should be established on the Central pattern, have a Central Vigilance Commissioner and other Commissioners as well.
