| Gupta demands adequate relief for farmers | | |

Jammu, Oct 6: Provincial president of National Conference Rattan Lal Gupta have expressed serious concern over the deteriorated situation prevailing among the farmer community in the entire region of Jammu due to drought which affected the Rabi crop.
Addressing a delegation of farmers led by president kissan cell Rajesh Bittu, Gupta said that the crop which were unaffected got completely ruined by rains and hailstorm. As per press release he urged upon the authorities of agriculture and revenue department constitute surveying teams to assess the losses so that adequate relief and ex-gratia would be given to the sufferer farmers.
Gupta further said that concerned authorities should have made the arrangements to assess the losses in the interest of farmers but till date no progress in this regard has been done.
