| Strict action against absentees, 4 drug licenses suspended | | Inspection team conducts surprise visit of Barnoti block | | Early Times Report Kathua, Oct 6- Taking strong notice of the employees’ general practice to remain absent from their duties and officers leaving their stations without prior permission the district administration has tightened its rope against such officials. The team also cancelled drug licenses of four medical shops. On the directions of District Development Commissioner Sanjeev Verma, inspection team led by S C Sawhney conducted surprise inspection of some offices located in Barnoti block. The offices inspected included CDPO, BDO, ZEO, Government High School Chhann Arorian and Government Middle School Budhi. To their dismay the team found CDPO Sushma Gupta, BDO Barnoti Veivek Puri and Headmistress GMS Budhi Vidya Kour absent from duty. On inquiry the team was told that the BDO had gone to Assistant Commissioner (D) office but no such record or entry was made in the office movement register. The ACD directed for calling an explanation from the absentees so that action could be initiated against them. Amarjeet Singh senior Assistant, Janak Raj, Shashi Kala, Kamini Sharma and Usha Rani supervisors were also found absent in the office of CDPO Barnoti. In addition Santosh Kumari senior Assistant and Subash Chander ReT were also found absent in the office of ZEO Barnoti. A warning was issued to Balwant Raj senior Assistant and Swarn Singh Cashier of ZEO office Barnoti for not maintaining cash Book as the guide lines. Action as warranted under rules is being initiated against all the absentees. The inspection team assisted by the officers of Drug & Food Control Department also conducted inspection of nine drug shops and cancelled licenses of four medical shops including Baloria Medicos and Dev Medicos Janglote Morh, Bhardwaj Medicos and Madhu Medicos, Hatli Morh.
