| Senior citizens motivation tour flagged off | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 6- Krishna Ghati Brigade under the aegis of Ace of Spades Division, organized motivation tour for 25 senior citizens of Mendhar Tehsil to Jammu and Amritsar. The tour is in continuation of the Army’s concerted efforts under Sadbhavana to reach out to the local population in the remote areas of Jammu and Kashmir and give senior citizens an exposure to the development, customs and traditions of people living in other parts of the country.
The tour has been organized to show the senior citizens places of interest, important tourist destinations and industrial areas in the state of Punjab. Visits to important historical places like Golden Temple, Durgiana Mandir, Jalianwala Bagh and Wagah Border have been organized keeping the focus on giving these senior citizens an exposure to the rich historical heritage of the nation.
Commander, Krishna Ghati Brigade flagged off the motivation tour from Balnoi Base today in presence of prominent dignitaries and local population of Mendhar tehsil. The flagging off ceremony was among others attended by Rashid Qureshi, Lal Mohammed Saber both legislators, TK Bhatt, SDM Mendhar, SDPO Mendhar, Dr Ram Krishna Lal, Principal, Degree College Mendhar, Gulzar Ahed, Principal Government Higher Secondary School Mendhar, Abdul Hamid Fani, ZEO Mendhar besides the school children.
Speaking on the occasion Brigade Commander exhorted citizens to make full use of this motivational tour to enhance their knowledge and interact with locals of other parts of the country and improve their awareness about latest developments in the nation. He also emphasized that they should further narrate their experiences to their friends and families to motivate them to remain with the mainstream and work towards the development of the state and the nation.
