| Central team’s visit to J&K aimed at making spot assessment of pre-1953 position: VHP | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 7- Commenting on the visit of the Central High power delegation to Jammu and Kashmir, State Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) on Wednesday suspected that the visit was to make spot assessment of pre-1953 position and autonomy and not for reviewing the development of the state. Talking to media persons here today at Geeta Bhawan, Ramakant Dubey said the visit of 20-member high powered delegation of Central bureaucrats was not meant for reviewing the development related issues but to assess the pre-1953 situation viz-z-viz National Conference’s autonomy”. “High profile bureaucrats visiting Kashmir for spot study of the situation have their agenda for giving more powers to the Chief Minister than his other counterparts in the country”, VHP chief maintained. “Why such team did not visited J&K during last 60 years?, Why Central team did not assess the loss of money which Central allotted to State on the name of development?, Why they are remained mute spectator over misuse of Central funds and financial bungling in J&K?”, Dr Dubey questioned and asked the Central Government, led by UPA, to answer these questions and make their stand clear over visit of high power delegation. Maintaining that Article 370 is the root cause of all the ills in Jammu and Kashmir, he said, ‘Article 370 is the greatest destabilizing force as far as Kashmir is concerned and it brought havoc for the country both from within and outside’, he said and held Pt Jawaher Lal Nehru and Shiekh Mohammed Abdullah responsible. “Giving J&K state a separate Constitution, a separate flag and a separate head of state as far as power of the Governor viz-a-viz his other counterparts in the country is concerned has squarely amounted to creating a nation within a nation”, asserted the state VHP president. “The discussions on international fora over Kashmir issue, China incursions and its open view over Kashmir, China’s special VISA paper to J&K, Pakistan intervention on Kashmir through militancy and infiltration is only due to the Special status to Jammu and Kashmir, Dubey said and strongly demanded abrogation of Article 370.He said the Article itself has become a danger to the national integration and urged the Central Government to act quickly in Kashmir, stop appeasing and patronizing militants, communalists, discipline Pakistan and take Kashmir out of international meddling, abrogate Article 370 immediately and quash the special status of Kashmir’.
