| ‘Tainted cops’ resist narco test; now booked for breach of trust | | AMANDEEP MURDER CASE | | Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 7: In new turn of events, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing evidence destruction in Amandeep murder case today slapped another case against three suspended and arrested Police officials which was vehemently resisted by the latters which reportedly resulted into some heated scenes at the Gandhi Police Station. Meanwhile, the accused officials former SSP Manohar Singh, Inspector Sultan Mirza and Sub Inspector Satnam Singh, facing charges of evidence destruction and corruption, today refused to undergo brain mapping and narco-analysis test. Sources said that the SIT had written to them for their consent (as required under law) to undergo naro-test. The accused officials, sources informed, replied in writing their refusal to take such test. Earlier, tightening noose against the cops involved in fudging of weapon and tempering of evidence in Amandeep murder case the SIT led by SP Mubashar Latiefi and supervised by DIG Jammu-Kathua Range Farooq Khan lodged one more case against the suspended four police officers including SSP Manohar Singh, SHO Sultan Mirza, SI Satnam Singh and Munshi in Gandhi Nagar police station. SIT today lodged a case of breach of trust case under section 409 RPC against the suspended police officers. All the legal formalities for the FIR including foot prints, figure prints and photographs of the police officers have been completed. Though the police officers retaliated to be booked under this section but later, after the intervention of senior police officers the formalities were performed. The whereabouts of the Nagar and his other two brothers were still not known and manhunt has been launched to arrest them, sources informed.
