| Agitating SRTC employees threaten to protest in New Delhi | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 8- The agitating SRTC employees have served an ultimatum to the state government that if they fail to address their issues within next two days they would hold protest demonstration in New Delhi and approach AICC President Sonia Gandhi to her intervention.. Addressing media persons after holding regular protest demonstration one of the leaders of the SRTC Ashok Mehta gave a stern warning to the state government that if they failed to address their genuine grievances within two days time the striking employees would visit New Delhi to meet Sonia Gandhi for redressal of their genuine grievances. The dharna of the SRTC employees on Thursday entered into 44 day and more than 60 employees of the corporation courted arrest in Nowabad police post in support of their demands. Mehta said that the state government’s silence over the issue of their plight is nothing but criminal. He reminded the state government that the top management of the SRTC had entered in to an agreement with the employees in 2008 and had made certain commitments to the employees in the presence of senior state government officials. He said it is most unfortunate that instead of finding solutions the state government has adopted a negative approach and has failed to establish a dialogue with the striking employees.
