| Murder accused sent to 9 days judicial remand | | Court grants 3 days police remand to former SSP, 2 Ors. | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 8- City Judge Jammu Kusoom Pandita today granted three days police remand of arrested former SSP Manohar Singh, the then SHO Sultan Mirza and SI Satnam Singh, allegedly involved in destruction of evidence u/s 201 RPC. The trios were produced in the court under tight security but without handcuffs.
Advocate PN Raina, DS Chouhan and OP Sharma who appeared for the arrested police officers opposed extension of remand on various grounds including that the Special Investigation Team (SIT) has failed to comply the legal procedure. Upon this City Judge directed the SIT to produce the case file on next date with page marked.
Meanwhile, SIT produced Jatinder Singh alias Raja son of Choduhary Nagar Singh and Royal Singh allegedly involved in much publicized murder case of Amandeep Singh son of Advocate/ Ex-MLC Deepinder Kour, in the Court City Judge in handcuff |
