| Mysterious death of Rajnish Sharma | | BJP demands registration of FIR, arrest of concerned police officers | | Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 8- Suspecting some foul play into the mysterious death of Rajnish Sharma, BJP today demanded immediate registration of FIR and arrest of all of all the concerned police officers responsible for his death and reflecting him as Pawan. This episode has exposed the working of police to a great extent, the party said and added that in recent days the arrest of few police officials in Jammu have caused an atmosphere of distrust. The party fully stands with the family of the deceased and will not spare anyone whosoever high up may be, the party warned, a party handout said. BJP State President Ashok Khajuria, Member National Executive Dr. Nirmal Singh, State Vice-President Rajesh Gupta, State General Secretary Shamsher Singh Manhas and State Spokesperson Ramesh Arora visited mortuary in the GMC Hospital and also met with the family members of the deceased. They expressed their full support to the family members and warned the government to take serious note of the situation before it takes an ugly turn. ‘We cannot allow a person to meet unnatural death in police custody’, the party leaders said and assured the family members that in case immediate action was not taken against all the concerned police officers by registering an FIR and arresting them, BJP will take all possible measures to meet out the demand. BJP leaders also brought all facts into the notice of National Vice-president and former Union Minister Shanta Kumar about the incident. Shanta Kumar has asked the party leaders to take matter seriously and extend all possible help to the family. He also assured to take up the law and order situation prevailing in the state with Centre leadership of BJP and also with the Central Government. Shanta Kumar is currently in Jammu to address meeting of senior leaders, state office bearers, MLAs and District Presidents with respect to working of BJP and ongoing membership drive.
