| Eight injured in group clash | | | Early Times Report
Mendhar, Oct 09: At least eight persons were injured three of them critically after two families clashed over the installation of hand pump at Mohalla Kasian, each wanting it near to their house.
Eyewitnesses told that the tiff began after Ground Water Development Agency officials came with Borer machine to dig up a hand pump in the locality.
Each family wanted the pump near its house which led to exchange of heated words between the two family members and soon they attacked each other with sticks, rods and stones. An Alto car standing near by was also damaged in the stone pelting between the two families. Eight persons were injured in the clash till police reached on the spot and separated them.
Those injured in the clash have been identified as Mohammad Farooq , Mohammad Shabir both sons of Mohammad Sharief Dulat, Zenab Bhi wife of Mohammad Razak, Mohammad Iqbal son of Wali Mohammad , Ulfat Begum wife of Mohammad Shabir, Mohammad Irfan son of Mohammad Shabor, Zahoora Begum wife of Nazir Ahmed.
Police has registered a case in this regard and taken up the investigations into the mater. One person identified as Mohd Aslam son of Abdul Aziz has been arrested.
