| BJP demands lodging of FIR against erring police cops | | | Early Times Report Jammu, October 09: Expressing delay over action against the erring police officials, Bhartia Janta party has asked the government to immediately register FIR against police personnel involved in the killing of a Jammu youth. A delegation comprising of Chaman Lal Gupta, Ramesh Arora, Leela Karan Sharma, Dr. Ramakant Dubey, Dinesh Khanna, Yudhvir Sethi, Surinder Sharma, Ambedkar and Sanjay Kumar called on the Divisional Commissioner and apprised their concern over delay in registering FIR against the concerned police officials involved in kidnapping and custodial killing of Rajnish Sharma, a resident of Sarwal, Jammu. They also expressed their concern over the causal approach of administration towards the issue and asked Divisional Commissioner to direct the concerned authorities to immediately register FIR. “Even the connivance of senior police officers is clear from the fact that brother-in-law of the deceased was kept in police custody for more than one month and police officials have got him released on bail,” they said and added that Infact he had not submitted any surety bond because the officers of Kashmir police when finished their task of eliminating Rajnish Sharma, declared him as Pawan Sharma.
