| Qamar,Gupta address public meetings in Samba, Kathua | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Oct 9: The minister for consumer affairs and public Distribution (CAPD) Qamar Ali Akhoon along with National Conference provincial president Rattan Lal Gupta addressed several public meetings in the areas of Samba and Kathua districts here today. Minister after giving patent hearing to the people’s problems assured them that their problems will be solved at the earliest. He said that government has decided to raise quota of ration supply from 35 Kg to 50 Kg and Kerosene oil from 5 liters to 7 liters per family per month from the month of November. Minister on spot ordered the concerned authorities to ensure supply of sugar and LPG before the festival. Minister also ordered for displaying of rate lists on every ration shop. During his speech minister suggested that unemployed youth should be given permits to ply mini buses on rural and far flung areas. Gupta while addressing the meetings hailed the decision taken by the government for enhancement of quota of ration and other allied items. He called upon the workers of the party to strengthen the party at grass root level and ensure that policies and programmes of the party reach to very nook and corner.
