| MLA Ramban distributes cheques to BPL beneficiaries | | | Early Times Report
Ramban, Oct, 9-MLA Ramban Ashok Kumar today distributed the first installment of Rs.19, 000 each to ten beneficiaries living below the poverty line for construction of residential dwellings under Indira Awas Yojna
Earlier during his two day extensive tour of his constituency the MLA inspected Saras-Kastigarh and Chilli-Dhandal roads taken up under PMGSY at an estimated cost of Rs.897.20 lakhs and Rs.943.50 lakhs respectively. He expressed his concern over the slow pace of progress on these road projects and urged the executing agencies to speed up the work so that these are completed within the stipulated time frame. He also asked the district administration to settle compensation cases of all those farmers whose land has been acquired for construction of these roads.
