| Dy CM inaugurates week-long Diwali Mela at Gandhi Nagar | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, OCTOBER 09 -Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Tara Chand on Friday evening inaugurated 7-day Diwali Mela at Gandhi Nagar. The mela is being organised by Chander Bagha Advertising Agency in collaboration with Apsara Road Traders Association.
After inaugurating the mela, Mr. Tara went around various showrooms including Reymond The Shop, Bhatia & Sons, Kids Camp, Octeva, Diva, LG, Sony, Alis Shoes, Dayal Bag, Shopee, Pri-knit and Rakesh Jewelers and Reebok and took keen interest in their displays.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Tara Chand appreciated the efforts of the organisers for arranging such events at par with metro cities. He asked them to organise the same in Jammu city which is fast developing into big city with modern life style. He said that government is committed to develop business activities in the state and it will extend help to people venturing in these events.
It was informed that number of events will be organised on every day of mela including free mehandi raat, dance performances, live musical and crackers night. The renowned artists of different parts of the country will perform in these events.
