Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 10: Vision Kashmir (VK) an organization of internally displaced people demanding separate enclave (Appna Ghar) for the exiled community held its meeting under the chairmanship of its convener, Sunil Fotedar issues confronting the community were deliberated upon here today.
Fotedar said that the demand of VK’s separate enclave with autonomous political and administrative region is truly genuine as KPs have suffered to the external aggression, occupation, domination of his place of origin and nationality, compelling them to seek refuge and live as internally displaced people.
He strongly lambaste the government sincerity towards rehabilitation measures displaced community back in the valley. While referring to the observations of OIC regarding Kashmir, it pretends that Hurriyat is still in favour of one community-on rule in the valley. He further said that the exiled community has to safeguard the life and security and ultimately the present ruling combine is responsible for their protection before facilitating the process of return.
Secretary VK Sanjay Chowgami in the meeting said that the displaced community has in two decades of exile become increasingly aware of the crisis which had affected their “Sustenance” and “Survival”, and urged that displaced community should be declared as internally displaced people. In a memorandum submitted to UNO secretary general Bank Moon he urged that UNO to safeguard the interests of displaced community under international and domestic law.
Organizing Secretary Ashok Koul appealed the exile community to get ready for mass agitation. He in his appeal said that this is the right time to think and re-think about the delay dallying tactics of the ruling combine, in regard to implementing the employment package for the frustrated youth like they have done in case of shrine and temple bill which after false promises made by the state cabinet was never passed in the state legislature. This shows the present government has biased approach towards displaced community and has a favourable heart for the majority community of the state.
