| Kidnapped civilian strangulated in Gool | | Two ultras, six OGWS apprehended in Doda | |

Six Over Ground workers were arrested; two militants of Huji outfit apprehended during the last twenty-four hours, while a body of a civilian, who was kidnapped by some militants, was recovered from forest in Gool area of Udhampur district today.
A Defence spokesman said that based on a specific information about the presence of some militants in Kuchhal forest of Bhandarkut, the forces launched a search operation in the area .On establishing contacts with the militants, the security forces came under heavy fire which was effectively replied. However, there was no loss of life on either side. Both the militants who were hiding in the area were arrested on spot. They have be identified as 17 year Noordin @ Iqbal son of Ibrahim Sheikh and 21 year Nisar Ahmed @ Zafar son of Mohammed Shabir both residents of Kuchhal. They were affiliated with HUJI outfit and active in the area since last one year.
One AK 47 rifle along with a magazine, one SLR Rifle and a magazine, five AK rounds and five rounds of SLR ammunition was recovered from the possession of the arrested militants.
The spokesman said that body of a civilian identified as Abdul Razak of Bhin Dessa who was reportedly kidnapped by some unknown militants at gunpoint on September 28 was recovered from forests by the villagers today. He was strangulated by a rope. The police investigating was in progress when the reports last came in..
In the meantime security forces apprehended six OGW including a fund operator and manager of LeT outfit.
Those apprehended included a 28 year Ghulam Haider son of Mohammed Shabban resident of Kiwa., a hotel owner by profession, and 23 year Mohammed Aslam son of Ghulam Mohammed Qadir resident of Chukron Thatri and both them were affiliated to HM outfit and handed over to Doda Police for further interrogation.
The three other OGWs arrested last night at Buzala in Bahinal and Bhimdasa of Gool area include Abdul Rehman son of Jamaldin resident of Buzala, Zakir Hussain son of Abdul Zabbar resident of Mathudi, fund operator and manager of LeT outfit, 25 year Fardeen Ahmed son of Ghulam Ahmed resident of Doda and Noor Mohammed son of Zameel Ahmed of Dhara. All the arrested OGW who were arrested yesterday have been handed over to Police today for further investigation.
