| Resolve grievances of doctors and others related to 6th Pay Commission: Tarigami | | | Early Times Report Srinagar Oct 10 Urging the government to resolve the grievances of the junior doctors, Anganwadi workers, Helpers and all those employees, CPI(M) State Secretary and MLA Kulgam Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami has asked the state government to resolve the crisis who have been ignored in terms of pay fixation and other benefits. Referring to the ongoing strike of Junior Doctors, Anganwadi Workers/Helpers, Tarigami said instead of making assurances and commitments with the employees for resolving their grievances, the government should follow a time bound policy to assess and solve these issues. He said that recommendations of the committees favouring the demands of the employees be implemented with out excuses and delay and referred to S L Bhat Committee in this regard. The CPI(M) State Secretary maintained that the Junior Doctors were genuinely demanding equalizing of stipend of junior and senior residents with those of the Assistant Surgeons and restorative benefits from January, 2006 in their favour, besides providing two and a half days salary in their favour .He appealed the junior doctors on strike to call it off and urged the government to come forward for negotiation with them as the ongoing strike has paralyzed the services in the hospitals causing severe inconvenience to the patients. Tarigami also urged the government to address the grievances of Anganwadi workers/Helpers, Causal Labours and Contingency Paid Workers and said that increase in their honorarium and wages has been necessitated due to the implementations of 6th pay commission and the regularization..
