| Bazaz seeks PM’s intervention in saving 4000 SRTC employees | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 11- In a bid to save nearly 4,000 State Road Transport Corporation (SRTC) employees, the Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Forum has sought intervention of Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh. In a letter addressed to the PM, DF Chief Bhushan Bazaz said “The employees of SRTC are without salaries for several months and their families are starving. It is unfortunate that the SRTC has reached at the brink of closure.” “The UPA government has released Rs. 15,000 crore to save Air India from losses, but injustice is being meted out to the special state of Jammu and Kashmir, as no concrete step has been taken to save the important and beneficial industry in the state,” Bazaz said.
