| Peerzada visits NCC camp at Nagrota | | | Jammu, Oct 11- The Minister for Education, Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed visited National Integration Camp of NCC at Nagrota today. He was given a guard of honour by NCC cadets. Brig Anil Gupta DDG NCC briefed him about the training and cultural activities being conducted during this camp. The Minister went around the camp and was shown the living areas, rifle shooting range and other facilities available at the camp. He promised all help from the state Government for further upgrading the facilities at the camp area. A cultural program representing folk dances and songs from Orissa, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and J&K was organized by NCC cadets. The camp has been a unique and unforgettable experience for many cadets. Girls cadets fro Government Degree College Doda, where NCC for girls has been started recently, were thrilled to meet and interact with cadets from other parts of the country. Brig Gupta said that the cadets during the camp witnessed an Army Equipment Display at Sainik School Nagrota and also participated in tree plantation at Golf course being developed by Tourism Department at Jammu. Peerzada distributed prizes to the winners of various cultural competitions held during the camp. Cadets from Orissa bagged the first prize in group dance and cadets from Maharashtra stood first in the group song category.
