| NMC demands Rs.8, 000 cr package to J&K for implementation of 6th pay commission | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 11- National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) has appealed the Union Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee to provide a special financial package of Rs. 8000 crore for fully funding expenditure for implementation of 6th Pay Commission recommendations. Addressing workers rally here today, Subaash Shastri, president, NMC said that special package will provide all benefits of the 6th Pay Commission to the state government employees and pensioners as well as payment of arrears on account of pay revision. Shastri appreciated the Chief Minister for timely implementation of the 6th Pay Commission, release of 6% pending DA installment due from January this year enhancement of wages of daily wagers from Rs. 70 to Rs. 100 per day. Shastri urged the Chief Minister to release the pending installment of DA due from July this year @5% in favour of State Government employees and pensioners well before Diwali festival. He also urged the Chief Minister to intervene personally and ensure that all the anomalies in the SRO-93 are removed and arrears on account of 6th Pay Commission implementation are released in two installments. Shastri, on the occasion, highlighted various demands including time bound regularization of daily wagers, adhoc, contractual employees, Conversion of COLA into DA of PSUs employees, Issuance of orders of 180 Daily Wagers working in Rural Development Department, regularization of services of the employees working in sericulture and other departments Among those who also addressed the rally included Rajan Babu Khajuria, Sunil Kochhar (PPEU), Sham Lal Sharma, Bhupinder Singh and Chaman Lal Bhagat.
