| Tarigami demands compensation to all whose land was acquired for K-G Project | | |

Urging upon the Government to provide adequate compensation for the land acquired for construction of Kishan Ganga (K-G) Power Project at Kralpora Bandipora and major share of jobs to the local people, Tarigami believed that this project will have far reaching effect for over all development of the area.
Addressing a meeting of the Kishan Ganga Power Project Workers Union Bandipora, Sumo, Metador and Taxi Drivers Association Bandipora, Tarigami said that Management of the Power Project need to utilize the services of the local unemployed youth and local transport to facilitate the unemployed youth to earn livelihood. The main demands discussed in the meeting include engagement of major portion of skilled and unskilled workers from amongst the local population, utilization of the local transport i.e. Sumos, trucks to enable the owners and drivers to earn livelihood instead of hiring from outside besides providing adequate compensation for the land acquired for construction of the power project.
G.H.Naqashbadi, President, J&K Kissan Tehreek, Kashmir Province and Ali Mohd. leader Kishan Ganaga Power Workers Union also addressed the meeting.
