Mangat Ram Sharma, presently occupying No: 2 position in Gh Nabi Azad's Congress led Coalition Government said in Jammu on Monday those who attacked parliament should not be granted clemency. Sharma said Supreme Court has awarded death sentence to Mohd Afzal Guru, who, in his own words, has confessed his involvement in the attack on parliament during the trial before the apex court of the country. Arguing that guilty should be punished, Sharma termed attack on parliament an attack on the whole country, as top leadership of the country including Prime Minister, his council of ministers and parliament members are seated in the parliament house. Questioning that how conspirators of eliminating country's top leadership can be pardoned, Sharma said hartals can't revoke punishments. Saying that even the representatives of those sponsoring hartals sit in the parliament house, Sharma said ' if law has found Mohd Afzal Guru guilty, he should get punished. No flexibility should be adopted in such cases".
