| 3 week- long workshop on ‘Software Development’ concludes | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 13- The three- week long ‘Software Development Using NET’ organized by the Department of Computer Sciences, GCW Parade concluded here today. The workshop organized in collaboration with Info Panzer Solutions aimed at to upgrade the knowledge of the students on the latest software with the special focus on net framework
Dr. N.D. Wani, Director Colleges, higher education was the chief guest , Ex-vice chancellor, Jammu University, Prof. M.R. Puri was special guest and Dr. Savitri Sharma, principal of the college was the guest of honor on the occasion. IQAC members, H.O.D.’s of various departments and BCA committee members were also present at the function.
Surabhi Koul, a final year student compared the whole event.
Dr Wani in his speech praised the organizers for organizing such a workshop. The need to stay connected and to stay in sync with, if not ahead of peers is evident from the fact that IT industry is one of the bright lights in a dinning Indian Business Horizon, he said He said the workshop is one of the efforts of the department to enhance the practical knowledge of the students and prepare them to face the IT world in their future.
Prof. Parveen Singh, H.O.D. computer sciences, thanked the industry representatives for putting their time and efforts in making the workshop a success. He also appreciated the students of the department for their active participation in the workshop and said that this workshop was a unique learning experience for the students. He said that this workshop will surely give them edge over other professionals in the cut throat competition and help them in preparing themselves for the software.
