| KP Welfare Movement on indefinite dharna | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 13- Kashmiri Pandit Welfare Movement (KPWM) has started an indefinite Dharna at Mishriwalla Camp for implementation of Prime Minister’s Employment package.
In a press statement here today, the leaders of the Movement welcomed the employment package announced by the state finance minister during the budget session, but at the same time impressed upon the state Government to come out with concrete policy/steps to implement the employment package with age relaxation of seven years.
They said that Prime Minister had announced 6000 jobs for the KPs in 2008 but till date no practical shape has been given to this announcement so far.
The Movement also demanded enhancement of cash Relief from Rs 1000 to Rs 2500 per soul, per month and compensation to those students who have crossed the upper age limit
The KPWM announced that dharna will continue till the demands were not met.
