| Wani asks doctors to perform duties with responsibility | | | Early Times Report
Doda, Oct 13- MLA Doda Abdul Majid Wani while on visit to district Hospital urged upon the doctors to perform their duties with responsibility. Terming the profession as noble Wani said that doctors have proved their efficiency during hard times even in far flung and remote areas.
MLA visited all the wards and enquired about the health of the patients. Medical Superintendent was asked to ensure better cleanliness in the wards,. Quality of the food being provided to the admitted patients was also checked and found to be satisfactory. The shortage of staff was brought into the notice of Wani. Out of total sanctioned strength of sixteen Surgeons, only two were present. Similarly, out of three sanctioned posts of physicians, only one physician is presently posted in the district hospital. Though there are three sanctioned posts of gynecologists, not even a single gynecologist was present.
Wani urged upon the Health Minister for his personal intervention for immediate deployment of sanctioned staff in district hospital. The stock of medicines in the hospital was also checked by MLA. OPD services were not up to the mark; Medical Superintendent was given instructions in this regard.
