| 3 die, 55 injured in road mishaps across J&K | | | Early Times Report Jammu/Srinagar Oct 14: At least three persons including a six months year old child died and 55 others were injured in separate road accidents across Jammu and Kashmir, since last night. Official sources said that a video coach Bus (JK02AH/7416) was on way from Jammu to Srinagar rolled down near TCP Nagrota, resulting in on spot death of six months old child Sameer son of Gaiyas Mohammad resident of Darya Uttar Pradesh and injuries to 21 passengers. Body of child was kept in mortuary room and injured were admitted in GMC Jammu for treatment. Three persons were injured when a Truck (JK02T/6289) on way from Lakhanpur to Jammu rolled down at Sarbhad today, Injured were shifted to GMC Jammu for treatment. While six persons were injured in head on collision between Tata sumo (JK01K/0867) and Truck (JK02AL/6737) at Manthal Udhampur, Injured were shifted to GMC Jammu for treatment. An auto driver was injured when his auto collided with a car Chabutra Bazar Udhampur The injured driver has been identified as Sunil Kumar son of Rattan Lal resident of Udhampur. Injured was shifted to district hospital Udhampur for treatment. In another similar accident three persons were injured in Banihal who have been shifted to district hospital Ramban for treatment. Meanwhile, two persons died and three others were injured in different road accidents across the Kashmir Valley. Official sources said that a Tipper (JK01H/9755) hit and injured a pedestrian Sajad Ahmad Bhat son of Mohammad Ramzan resident of Amargarh Sopore at Amargarh Baramulla. Injured was shifted to SMHS Srinagar for treatment, where he succumbed to his injuries. The body of the said person was brought to Amargarh, where some miscreants set ablaze private Chungi post at Amargarh Sopore. Driver was arrested and vehicle seized. Police has registered a case in this regard. In another hit and run accident Mohammad Islam son of Nathi resident of Bihar at Gurwaith Khansahib Budgam died on the spot death. A motorcyclist Gulzar Ahmad Bhat son of Mohammad Akbar Bhat resident of Wasbugh near Tengpuna Pulwama was injured when a Tata Sumo hit him; he was later shifted to hospital for treatment. Tipper (JK02B/4725) hit and injured a pedestrian lady Zamrooda daughter of Ghulam Mohammad Wani resident of Chinnad and an unidentified motorcyclist at Chinnad Baramulla. Injured lady has been referred to Srinagar from sub district hospital Sopore for treatment.
